Recruitment
In addition to my original role as Vice President of Client Relations, I took over the responsibility of the Recruitment Department for KSG and sister site, UP Fundraising. I managed a team consisting of the Senior Recruitment Manager and 12 recruiters.
New tools and platforms
-
Sourced and implemented new recruitment platforms to focus on multi-channel talent sourcing vs. traditional headhunting.
-
Launched recruitment platforms Jazz HR, Indeed, Resume Library and led the social media recruitment strategy, which resulted in on-boarding annually over 2,400+ new hires in both Canada and United States.

Remote talent management model
Created a Remote Talent Management model where we hired new Recruiters in the markets with the highest staffing needs vs. using centralized office-based recruitment located at KSG and UP Fundraising headquarters:
-
The new model enabled recruiters to better understand the talent pool in their home markets; thus, resulting in a 29% lift in job applicants and a 36% lift in the quality of new hires.
-
Reduced the operational cost of the recruitment department by 17% as the recruitment salary compensation for remote recruiters was lower than in Toronto, where previously all recruiters were employed.
AI + recruitment
Brought automation to the recruitment department using an artificial intelligence platform.
The AI analyzes the speech patterns, vocabulary, and tone -- this allows auditors to really understand what the recruiters and applicants are saying. The pilot is still in its infancy, but the initial results show a marked improvement with the perceived quality of new hires and a 10% lift in new-hire retention.

Partnerships
I managed two new partnerships with grocery delivery startups at the beginning of the 2020 COVID lockdown. This partnership ensured the KSG Recruitment Department had a stream of revenue while most programs were on hold.
These partnerships allowed me to implement new recruitment tools, data analytics, and a new quarterly bonus for high-performing recruiters.
